A form is submitted. A finished Word document arrives in the officer's inbox.
Credit officers assess small businesses with KoBoToolbox forms. Each submission used to mean writing an Environmental and Social Action Plan by hand. Now the form triggers a small service that looks up every action code, fills the Word template and emails the finished plan to the officer, with dropdowns ready to edit.

The challenge
Eight different forms, 1,099 action codes, and a document that has to look exactly like the official template. It also had to run on the client's own server with no database and nobody watching it.
What we did
A small stateless service: webhook in, codebook lookup, Word rendered from the template, email out through the client's Microsoft 365. Packaged to install on the client's own server, with a written handover and a maintenance guide so their IT team owns it.
The outcome
Delivered and handed over. Each document takes about two seconds from submission to inbox, on a server with one CPU.
