Work / iOS Live Activities and Liquid Glass
Payments and integrations
The order on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, updated by the server.
PalEat customers watch their order move from the kitchen to the door on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island without opening the app. The backend pushes every status change straight to the activity. Both PalEat and Al Manara adopted iOS 26 Liquid Glass for tab bars and controls, with a fallback on older iPhones.

What it does
What it does, feature by feature
- Lock Screen and Dynamic Island order card
- Parcel deliveries as a second activity
- Deep link from the activity into the order
- Arabic and English inside the widget
- Server-side push, straight to the activity
- Liquid Glass tab bar and controls on iOS 26
The challenge
Live Activities are only as good as the push behind them. The server has to know every token, refresh its own credentials, and send the right event at the right priority, in Arabic and English.
What we did
Two Live Activity families, food orders and parcels, in one widget bundle. A push client of our own on the backend that sends update and end events, with a silent-push fallback. Liquid Glass applied where it helps, guarded by OS version.
The outcome
Shipped in PalEat. Orders update on the Lock Screen within seconds of the kitchen changing the status.
