The challenge
One small team has to see everything at once, act fast, and never break the apps in customers' hands. The catalogue alone is more than 80,000 products, and a single restaurant menu is about 250 items.
What we did
One dashboard for everything, on a backend we own, with separate staging and production and a release on every push. We rebuilt the menu path so a full menu loads in a fraction of the time it used to, and a new branch can copy a whole menu from a sister store in one click. Switches in the dashboard change payments and app behaviour without a release.
The outcome
One backend serves every PalEat app. Menu loading dropped from 1.4 seconds to under one, and ops run the day from a single screen.
